Realizing Resolutions

Keeping up with my resolutions is not easy, I’m afraid. For one, I’m already way behind resolution #5! Days do really speed up once you don’t pay that much attention to the time. Now, I only have a few days left to ensure that I don’t miss the 10 posts per month goal. As for goal #1,  I think I’m making progress.

Losing weight isn’t really easy. I love food too much, especially sweets! But I need to get back in shape. At least just enough to fit into my more ‘fitted’ clothes. I have quite a number of clothes that I’ve bought just the previous year but couldn’t wear any more. It would have been fine if these clothes are outdated but they’re not. It’s a shame to toss them out when I know I could fit in them after working out for several weeks. Well, I have been working out for several weeks now. And I think I’m seeing results. Hopefully, after a few more weeks of working out, I could finally fit in those clothes. *crossing my fingers*

As for goals #2-4, these should be evaluated at the end of the year. I’m really hoping I could realize the expected results I’ve set for myself. Since I’ve set them, I should know that these are attainable. Let’s see how I do at the end of the year.

Hmmm… I’ve come to realize that my “resolutions” aren’t really resolutions but more of goals for this year. Well, as long as I can achieve them, then it shouldn’t really matter. Here’s to a long year ahead!

1.11.11

1.11.11

It’s 1.11.11 or 11.1.11 depending if you’re following the dd.mm.yy or mm.dd.yy format. Anyhow, the start of the year has been slow. I’m pretty sure it’ll speed up again in a couple of days, especially with the upcoming Thailand trip. Also, I have several blog post ideas that I’m planning to write. I really need to set a personal deadline if I want to get anything written. But as of the moment, everything is still in need of organization and re-organization. Good luck to me!

New Year’s Resolutions

For several years now, I have made it a point not to make any New Year’s Resolution. My reasoning is that  by February or even mid-January, I would’ve forgotten about it anyway or had new goals in mind. But since this is a new decade, I’m going to make an exception. So for 2011, I came up with my top 5 New Year’s Resolution.

1. Lose weight! This has always been in my to do list no matter what the occasion. But for one reason or another, the result I’m getting is the other way around. So for this year, I will really make it a point to watch my weight, and lose approx 10lbs! Expected Result by end of 2011: Lose 10++lbs

2. Save, save, save! After all the spending I’ve done this year, it’s about time that I ramp up on the savings department. This is going to be hard, since even before the year started, I already have several trips planned. As long I stick to my budget, I should be fine. Expected Result by end of 2011: Reached the target amount.

3. Keep my room organize. Always. My room has been my never ending project. I organize my things, then after a week everything is in disarray again. I try to organize it again, but it ends up messy… again. The cycle needs to stop! I have to stick to the organizing habit all the time or else I’ll drive myself crazy re-organizing everything. Expected Result by end of 2011: I don’t have to organize my room again, I just have to clean it.

4. Be more productive. This is in terms of using my time wisely. My time on Facebook and all the other online distractions have got to be minimized. There have been a lot of times when I wake up in the morning feeling that I’ll get several tasks done only to end up Facebook-ing all day. I have several projects I’ve put aside for several months now because I didn’t have the ‘time’ for it. Now, I really should make time so I could accomplish something. Expected Result by end of 2011: Finished the college scrapbook, printed 2010 & 2011 pictures, placed the 2010 & 2011 pictures in the albums.

5. Blog more. I have this site for a reason. I usually end up neglecting it after a while, then come back, then go on hiatus again. This year, I’m vowing to change all that. While we’re at it, I’m also revamping my photoblog. Expected Result by end of 2011: Have 10 posts every month, revamped photoblog.
