Unlike most kids, I haven’t really experienced the whole hoopla of Halloween. It was just a few years back that I got interested in Halloween parties. The interest didn’t go as far as actually going to the party because I’m too lazy to think of a costume. So I’m not really used to the stress of thinking of a costume.
And THEN for this year, I got myself into back-to-back halloween parties, one was on Friday and the other on Saturday, Halloween night itself. See the stress? But then, for lack of any Halloween costume creativity, I just got all my black clothes and put them together. And apparently, I’ve got a wardrobe full of black clothes.
My ‘costume’ on the 30th was similar to my Halloween ’08 costume – only I’ve got the biker jacket on. Yes, it’s all about the jacket. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a decent picture of my costume – this cellphone picture should do.

The Goth and The Biker Chick: See the difference? LOL
On the 31st, I became a glammed up gothic/punk (insert label here) biker chick. Really, it’s all about the jacket for me. Because I just bought it! =P Maybe a glam gothic photographer biker would be more appropriate. Obviously, this is really just a feeble attempt to name my costume. LOL.

BUT ANYWAY, that most important part for this date was I actually got to cover an event for the FIRST TIME EVER. My college blockmate, Abby and her bf, Paolo, own and run an events company called Switch South Productions. And for their Halloween party, Meet Me on the Equinox, they got me as the photographer to cover the event. Yey, thanks Switch South!

Meet Me on the Equinox
I’m glad I actually got nice and decent pictures because focusing in the darkness is NO JOKE! I’m now officially amazed at how events photographers get nice crisp photos for parties that are held in dim lit venues. And have the energy to go around and around and around taking pictures. But then maybe it’s just because I’m new to this. Yes, I do take pictures when I attend parties like this one. BUT I don’t take pictures of every single attendees or happenings during the party. It was really a different and fun experience.
PLUS PLUS PLUS, the party was awesome! People came in their hot and cool costumes. The most memorable ones for me were Jabbawockeez, Barbie and Ken – of course, Chuck and Blair – because, for me, they really got the whole Chuck-and-Blair vibe going and Ms.Penguin & Ms.Bubble Bath – because they were outrageously unique, I mean come on, not everyone can pull those off. (More pictures of the event at Switch South’s Multiply site.)
